Really????

So it would seem as though several people have a problem with the living arrangements we have. Several comments have been made as to how difficult for my parents and goodness what a strain on my marriage that must be. How do my parents handle us being here? Yesterday it was said during church that married children living back home with their parents had no business being married if they can't take care of themselves. The other complaint I have is hearing how difficult it must be for Nephi to be married to me. He must have to walk a really fine line. If I'm so difficult I guess those people should be glad that they don't have to put up with how horrible I am on a daily basis. Yuba City was never at the top of my list as one of the most fabulous places to reside, but it has now become number one as worst place ever to live. Its mostly the people I'm not impressed with. Or wait! Is that just me being incredibly difficult to please and live with? Gosh my poor husband and parents! What a nightmare I must be!

Work

Well, I have about a million things to do today and I'm trying to stay motivated. Not the easiest thing for me sometimes. I've got a laundry festival going today along with a general clean. The upstairs could more or less use something a little more intense...like a shovel and possibly a haz mat suit. I'm only procrastinating by writing on this blog instead of getting to work. So I suppose I should be a big girl and stop stalling!!! Bummer!

People

A lot of people together can sometimes create problems. Everyone has an opinion and their own is of course the best. Things get said, misunderstandings and sometimes accusations get thrown around. In the end I suppose it doesn't really matter, we can only be responsible for ourselves. That's all that counts anyway.

Stormy Weather

It's been hot, really hot. Its September and I've been waiting for the crisp cool Fall air to come sweeping in. I love Fall. I love the smell of rain, pumpkins, cinnamon, wood burning stoves, and scented candles filling the air. I love looking out the window as the trees blow and the leaves full of color whip around. Kids bundled up in swaeters as they jump in the piles of leaves their parents just raked up, giggling and playing tag. I love warm cookies on the counter as the kids come home from school. Halloween, Thanksgiving, General Conference... peaceful and full of fond memories from my own childhood. Well, if I can't have that kind of Fall here, at least I have fond memories from long ago. I only wish my kids knew of the Fall I used to experience. Sunny California is great, but I sure miss the seasons.

Blah

So I'm really tired of having illness in June that clearly belongs in January. January weather infringing on June weather is also getting a bit old. Of course I can think of several things off hand that have become old... such as my Italian house dress, a few canned goods (which are no longer considered good), cleaning toilets gets old before I even start. I would really like to go somewhere and have people wait on me, get a tummy tuck and come home to a completely organized and de-junked living space. Really, is that too much to ask?

Education

Well, I'm still angry but at least its forcing me to do a lot of research to figure out exactly what I'm dealing with. I've come across some very helpful information and articles that have given me some insight on how to go about handling things in the future. I'm keeping an open mind and trying to take into consideration the magnitude of emotional hurt inflicted upon me is possibly a result of honest ignorance. I believe I've stumbled onto a diagnosis of passive aggressive behavior, which would explain a lot. I don't think this is clearly understood by the other party that this is the behavior being displayed. But at least I can educate myself in how to better handle the attacks. My hope for change was in fact a wish. But I can have hope in myself to understand how this type of behavior works and change the way I deal with it. Whew, feeling better already!

just a wish after all

I'm really really tired of a lot of things. I've done a little research on a wish vs hope and I think I've come to realize that some of the hopes I had were actually just wishes all along. Major bummer for me. So now I'm kind of going through the grieving part that comes with a realization of something that will never be. I'm kind of mad about it, actually I'm really mad about it. So I'm bitter, and anything that has to do with this particular topic just gets magnified beyond belief. I realize I have to get past this someday and the sooner the better but right now I hurt. So I'm angry and am lashing out about it. I'm mad at stupidity and lack of understanding for my perspective. So I'm just mad for now I guess. Sucks!

Piper in Fairy WIngs

Well, I've been on a roll today bu I think it's time to take a break. I scraped a few more pages of Piper in the fairy wings. Next I'll work on the other two girls...but at least I'm making progress. It feels good to get some pages done and it's way faster than doing it with paper. It only took me about 30 minuets to get these pages done. I use Microsoft publisher and it goes pretty quick once you know how to use the program.

Starting to scrap again

I just finished all these fairy wings for Girls Camp that I didn't have to go to this year because of bed rest...there are blessings in difficulty! Anyway, I really need to get back into scrapbooking again so this is my first page in awhile. I just can't let these pics go by the wayside. They're too cute!

GET READY PEOPLE

Um just so you know.....now that today is July 4th, soon to be over in roughly 9 hours, I thought I would remind you that there are only 173 days until Christmas. The time is short and will pass quickly. I know that means I need to start decorating right now because I have a problem getting things up in a timely fashion and also getting them put away before the next holiday. Not to mention that I'm pregnant and will need extra time to move (or roll) this short little plump body around. So wish me luck as I too am wishing all of you the same for this coming season! I'm also looking forward to "The Road Rally" for Halloween this year. Very excited and fun times ahead!

Need I say more?

I think this pretty much sums up the way I feel about all the "CHANGE" Obama has promised...

It's True

Well it's true people, yes I'm pregnant with our 5th baby. I'm due the end of January which means I'll probably have it a few weeks early as usual. My short little body can't take all that cramming for a full 40 weeks. I'm good to go around 37-38 weeks. I've had a little trouble with some bleeding and cramping but so far it looks like this baby is going to stick. I just have to take it easy...with 4 other kids...that's going well! I sure did fatten up in a hurry, as soon as I found out I was pregnant my body remembered EXACTLY what to do....look way more pregnant than I actually am. That's been fun to have people look at me and wonder why I've let myself go.... Anyway, I'm hoping to be better at blogging and get caught up on some of my scrapbooking stuff. Melissa is coming out with Manhattan and Marin and I'm hoping to have a few days of digital scrapbook sessions. She'll be able to keep me on task. I really need that right now.

And the time went....where?

So...apparently I've done the "classic" ADD thing and neglected to maintain yet another thing. How I wish I could keep a handle on my spinning head. Even though medication helps...I'm still me and I think that's the foundation of my problem. I'm my own worst enemy. So I guess in the past month things have come and gone. Valentines was just another day. I was too busy working on a presentation for girls camp to enjoy or do anything on the designated "LOVE" day. Nephi turned 33 on the 20th. We just had a quiet night at home and watched a movie. Christmas finally got put away just in time for February to be over. Easter is just around the corner and I'm suffering from anxiety at the never ending list of 'To Do's". Most things I think are pretty simple for most people but for some reason it's all very overwhelming to me. SOOO, maybe I can figure it out by the time Christmas rolls around again. I think I need to advertise for a "Task Buddy" to keep me focused on what needs to be done. Anyone want a job?

Two More scrap pages

I need to change a few little things but they're done for now and I'm happy. I'm getting faster at it. Part of the problem is remembering all the different functions to get the embellishments just right. I don't have any page templates so I'm just messing around. It's so much fun but terribly addicting! I must be off to bed now.

Yes I'm still here!

Ok so I've continued to be quite neglectful with my blogging updates. I am however still somewhat alive and would really like to sit and play around on the computer all day. The problem is that I have other things I'm suppose to do like feed the kids, shower, take kids to school etc. Do I dare admit that Christmas is still up...like I said a month ago...I'm ahead of the Christmas crowd in '09! YES!!! Good for me. One thing I would like to share are my very first digital scrapbook pages. I did them about 21/2 weeks ago but I've just never posted them. It was fun to do and I think I'm getting it all figured out. I actually use Microsoft publisher to do the pages instead of scrapbook flair. I can manipulate everything better on the page. We had so much fun in the snow that day. It was cold but we all had a great time. We went again the next weekend. I still have to scrap those pages...

Ahead of the game!

HEY THERE'S ONLY 359 DAYS LEFT UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!! I JUST SAW IT THERE ON THE SIDE OF MY BLOG TICKING AWAY. I'M SO EXCITED, I'M AHEAD FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. I ALREADY HAVE CHRISTMAS UP AND THERE'S PLENTY OF TIME TO GET MY SHOPPING DONE. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!

Grandma Annie

Well, as most of you know, my mom has a good for nothin' heart valve that's been giving her trouble for years now. The mitral valve to be exact. It's all scarred due to rheumatic fever as a child. Scarring of the mitral valve thickens the tissue and prevents it from opening and closing very well, which makes pushing blood through a little difficult to say the least. Over the past 10 years she's had 2 procedures of a balloon valvoplasty (for stenosis) — In this procedure, a tiny catheter with a balloon at its tip is passed through the narrowed heart valve. The tiny balloon then is inflated and pulled back through the narrowed valve to widen it. This has worked fine for a temporary fix but they can't do it a 3rd time. It got to the point where just walking to the other side of the house was exhausting for her, as her blood couldn't pump to get new oxygen. In October she fell in front of Sams Club just trying to get across the street to hang onto a cart to rest. She got too light headed and busted her ribs. Soooo, it was time for a valve replacement. On Friday, Dec 5th, she went into surgery. Morgan flew out for 2 weeks to help and I was so grateful!!! I couldn't have done it without him. Melissa is a saint for letting him come. Not only was he here during the holiday craze, he missed his daughter's birthday. Manhattan turned 6 while he was gone. Thank you Manhattan for being such a wonderful little girl to let your dad come help me for 2 weeks. To top it all off...Melissa and the kids all got the flu while he was away. Just being a mom myself I know how miserable that is to be by yourself without a break and sick kids. Just saying thank you seems sort of pathetic. Anyway, it was such a relief to have Morgan stay at the hospital with our mom everyday. It was better for him to be there anyway because he could understand what everyone was saying...being the very professional Physicians Assistant that he is. She was in the hospital for a week and then was able to come home. It was a very painful surgery and has been difficult to wait for all the healing. We're hoping that within the next few months all the discomfort will subside and she'll be able to see a difference in her energy level. A good flow of blood with oxygen makes all the difference baby! Thanks for coming Morgan!

Piper's Birthday

Well, Piper is officially 9 years old now. Her birthday was on the 16th of December. Uncle Morgan was here which was a treat. We had a little family celebration and are going to do a party after all the holidays. She got cute pj's from Uncle Morgan & Aunt Melissa, a shirt and pants from Grandma Annie that she wore to school. Aunt Melysah and cousin Kalani gave her a Madame Alexander doll and Grandma Linda gave her an extra outfit for it. We had cheesecake for dessert, it's her favorite!
